Helen Brewin: Parkinson's UK Senior Advisor came to the group. She gave a well informed talk on the benefits available for people with Parkinson's with a lively Q&A session. Thank you for making time in to come to our group.

June
16 of our members went on the Peter Le Marchant Trust Canal trip. It was a cold start in the morning but the sun decided to come out on the return journey. We had a lovely lunch at The Waterside Inn.

July
On Saturday 15th July we held our annual Bacon Buttie/Coffee morning at Whissendine Village Hall. The heavens decided to open at 10am just when we opened for business but gradually people braved the weather and began to come. A massive Thank You to all our helpers on the day. We sold all the lovely homemade cakes and the tombola went well. Considering the weather we made an impressive £500 on the day.

Nigel from Lifeline Services will give a short talk on their services. Bingo to follow.

Amanda Howe if going to do a return visit to talk and demonstrate Nordic Walking.
